obviously at the democratic national convention in chicago where as usual around 3:00 pm the band is warming up. we have very divergent sights and sounds going on as we cover this serious issue that is happening in arizona and we also have the look ahead to tonight here in chicago. here's the breaking news if you're just tuning in that involves former president trumps border visit. we saw the motorcade to pull in and he has arrived. the sheriff of cochise county says a manhunt is underway for the man you see on the left-hand side of your screen. his name is ronald lee syrvud. they say he made threats to kill a presidential candidate. the daily mail has reported that candidate is trump and other outlets are saying that as well. we are looking to confirm that report. as we await the former president paul morrow is standing by but first the senior correspondent at the scene in arizona where the trump motorcade has just

arrived. >> as you mention the trump motorcade has just arrived and drove to my left a few moments ago and as we push back you're able to push back a little bit and you can see the president's motorcade is back toward the other people and he is scheduled here to highlight the border crisis, speak on immigration and insecurity which is one of his strengths according to so many of the polls out there when you compare it to kamala harris. however, the headline now today coming out of cochise county the sheriff has confirmed that there is a manhunt for a man, 66-year-old ronald syrvud, for threatening to kill former president trump. fox news confirms that target was trump and the intended day was, in fact, it day. significant martha for so many reasons as you know in terms of security.

we do know since the attempted assassination attempt on former president trump on july 13th there are a lot of security measures that have tightened and broadened, including bringing up the bulletproof glass in front of him for rallies. we don't see that here we are here it's just the press very tightly secured area where we are but if you start to think about the search for the suspect it's a manhunt and where we are. we are in the middle of the desert and you're looking at this border wall right here but all around us there is hardly any cell service. we have satellite trucks so we can communicate with you in chicago with folks in new york and in dc. it feels like we are in the middle of nowhere which makes it all the more frightening when you consider as of right now law enforcement say they do not know where this man is. >> martha: that is disturbing and they do have information and it raises some questions as to moving forward with this event when your not sure win that

location as of this man that made these threats. so thank you very much. we will go back to you obviously and get more developments and watching the events which as you said is that daily counter programming and it's the course of the campaign for former president donald trump, for whom the border has been exit -- an essential issue of his presidency and his campaign for another four years. let's bring in retired nypd inspector paul morrow and a fox news contributor and expert on these sorts of events and law enforcement. paul good to have you here. what comes into my mind is that they're looking for this individual, obviously they have work to have a perimeter around this location and what happened the last time in butler win shots were fired and one of them hit the presidents here was that people said why didn't they go forward with this event when

they thought there was a potential threat? your thoughts on that? >> certainly that context is going to be here. every pouty is very cognizant of the fact that it was a security failure and the last thing the secret service wants now is any sort of repeat like this. you can bet they're pulling out all the stops and i have no doubt they have major resources being to this. i understand they pick this up on facebook according to some of the reporting, when did they get it and how did they get it? where they looking for threats relative to the president back former president. did somebody report this in? he of the sea with the data points are to contextualize how much they have to go on because as your reporter mentioned this is a very remote area and some of the facilities, technical facilities, digital facilities that might deploy in a situation like this could be off the table. may not be able to ping his phone or do some of the things,

tracking through social media et cetera. >> martha: if you could stand by for a second. if we have sound here from the president. watch. >> this is one of the hand just -- highest standards of order and these guys are fantastic. i will tell you these are courageous people. they are fighting for the country and they are fighting against these radical left lunatics that have destroyed our country. she's the leader of the pack, she destroyed san francisco and absolutely destroyed california. you can't go into california or san francisco. it is not livable. fifteen years ago it was the best city in the country in one of the best cities in the world and now you can't do anything. now she is going to be president and going to do the exact same thing. she's going to have no borders, everything will be open. this will all be taken down. take a look where it ends. they're going to finish it so they go up to the top and they come in and you were just saying that's where the big drug stuff

[ inaudible ] goes through three different types of material and that's why it's bothered. >> martha: as you can see the signal is breaking up a little bit and they are very far at the border and in a very remote area in cochise county arizona. we have two parallel stories are happening right now. one is the former president's visit and this is to make a point in his campaign of what he sees as an urgent border security issue. there have been on the chair watch lists and we know the amount of fentanyl has come across the border has skyrocketed during the last few years and we know that we have

eight, 10 million people depending on how many you count that across the very porous border. if he begins to speak again in a way that we can clearly pick it up we will certainly get you back down there but i want to bring in our guest who are with me here onset watching all of this and we will obviously keep anything that happens in terms of locating this individual who was threatened to kill the president on facebook apparently. and they are searching to track him down. here we are. this is the world we live in. this man has some prior dui convictions and he also innovated showing up for a hearing so he is on their radar in a big way at this point but let's go to the comments at the president just made and let me start with you on this. he was talking about vice president harrison he says she has a long history in california

which is a mask. he says she destroyed it. and then he talked about the biden harris administration why they stopped building the border fence. the materials were scrapped and left into that desert and people were just around it. is she going to answer for that? >> first of all he loves to say 15 years ago san francisco was amazing which was when kamala harris was da and gavin newsom was the mayor of san francisco so i'm sure they appreciate the complement about their work there. i think that vice president harris has actually taken on the border issue morehead on than i expected. i thought she really was to try to not talk about it at all, seem something democrats have not been able to message well unless you're senator mark kelly basically. were katie hobbs who says i will send in the national guard. that's actually what i'm going to do here unless the stops. and vice president harris cut in at about border security. she talked of a coming from a border state in the bipartisan bill that was put together with james langford who was one of

the more conservative senators out there. and she has been able to cut into donald trump's lead of immigration. released to be over 20 points and down to 14 points. it is still a sizable difference. is clear they got the message that they will not win this election until we take this issue seriously. and i think that talking about the materials left behind, that won't be part of it. a border wall in the same way will not be the same solution but she is making inroads talking about agents and how anymore judges she wants there. >> martha: that's a processing matter. >> the executive orders president biden went cut under people pay 55 percent. >> in august. >> martha: i'm sorry. are we listening and now? standby guys. we are going into these two issues for a person has said he

wants to kill president trump. joining out to former assistant fbi director. good to have you here this is a person has been identified and there's a picture of him. they do not have them in custody yet. your thoughts on what we know about this so far? >> it sounds like one of those wing nuts who sat on the fringes there. because of the nature of the county and where he is and where president trump is, i think the sheriff wants to keep people believe it or not in catching this guy. they know the people in their county and they know the territory and i think that there's a pretty intense manhunt ongoing that the fbi and other agencies will be involved. i think the key priority is the sheriff. >> martha: talk to me about the perimeter because that is the big issue in butler. we see president trump didn't delay this event and pretty much

in time. walking around and talking to people. he is not behind any plexiglass. is moving forward with his day here. this is a vast area in the mountains. how comfortably with the concert -- security situation here? >> not comfortable. i would make the argument that the secret service had their 18 plus out there and with plenty of resources regardless of whether this is an imminent threat like this and i still don't think that is the case. he is a tough guy to try to protection scheme together because he wants to be in touch with the crowd and what's opened venues and i don't fault them for that. i think that is a good thing. i think there is a risk, i was hoping he would be behind plexiglass. if he's not the secret service better be on top of their game during this rally.

>> martha: we see there were snipers on a crane in an area just beyond the president. not sure if it was the blue structure you see there. we had a separate image all little while ago but is that the kind of thing you would expect so you thought people who would be elevated in this environment, that have a good site line all around the area? >> absolutely. every bit of high ground there is and in the natural terrain they would need to have somebody on it and they would need people mixed in a mingling with the crowd and playing with the local law enforcement. need to have plenty of an expected resource -- expected resources on hand here. i don't thing they do. i don't think this is an uncommon scenario now. this is something that is predictable. >> martha: this is something that was a smaller event which is the plan for this week for the trump campaign to do these smaller events as he travels

around to different places. it's a little bit more manageable i would guess but all it takes is one person that taken to a position in this area and we hope they find this guy soon. thank you for pointing out something so important which is pointing at this guy's face and name, everybody in the area are bound to find somebody who knows who this guy is and hopefully can identify him. thank you very much. it's always good to have you here sir. with that let's return to paul moreau and an nypd inspector and a fox news contributor. looking at the image on the right-hand side of the screen and his name is ronald syrvud. he is 66 years of age and has outstanding warrants for the state of wisconsin for dui, failure to appear for dui, for hit-and-run and for felony failure to register as a sex offender. public safety considerations,

syrvud is sought as an investigative lead third for that -- threats to kill a presidential candidate. paul, do you think this will speed up the timeline for getting him identified and taken to custody quickly? >> the good news is we know who he is and we know what he looks like that apparently is a recent picture because he is that as brushes with the law and is currently registered sex offender. we've had some context and if i'm running this operation i do everything chris talked about with people in the crowd and certainly of the heart and the perimeter and have to leverage all the local resources. also get aviation up. you might have a vehicle identifier for this guy and you also have to to look to his financials. did he rent a car? does he have a motorcycle? does he assume that they can into this rough terrain from an outside in perspective, where you might pick him up as he comes in. we don't have clarity on where exactly he is relative to the event but you have to plan for the worst-case scenario and you

have to see if he has any touch points of any assistance mentioning including some of the social media stuff that we know he is active on facebook. there are things you can do with search warrants and subpoenas to try to pinpoint where somebody is and if their mobile it's tough. but you can do it ended in emergency you can get the stuff done quickly and this is how i would characterize as him emergency. also to say does he have any military training? does he have any weapons that are registered to him? has he had weapons in the past? there's a lot of intel gathering going on relative to this guy right now. at the same time you have to flood the field and hoping somebody either locally are in the crowd were donald trump is can pick him up. and then you have to plan for closing the loop, in apprehension. if he does have weapons you have to make sure you go in a way that there is no danger to not only the president but the people in the crowd that are

there. it's a very delicate situation, these things are fluid and i'm sure all these things have been discussed at the highest levels here because as you and i mentioned earlier they cannot afford to have another not only for the president safety obviously but just reputation only the service here can't have another bungled jump like that. >> martha: absolutely not. and i guess that makes me assume that they feel okay here today with this event going forward or i think they would be shutting it down. in these kinds of threats for any public figure are going to come in fairly often. do you agree with that and is there a reason we're hearing hearing about it because they have a picture in the hope that community would help wrap them quickly. >> they made the right decision here and all the facts put a the image out is definitely the right call. i'm sure it's pushed out on the emergency system on all of the law enforcement anywhere in the area or anywhere he's known to frequent. they're doing everywhere they

can to put eyes on him but it does tell me that they're taking this pretty seriously because as you mention public figures get a lot of threats. it doesn't matter who it is. and most of them are nonsense thankfully. but for them to be pulling out the stops as they appear to be here there must be something there they assesses serious and not just somebody making an idol social media posts that they don't think is very important. there is something there undeniably and obviously they're going to be very hard at it. they're also going to view associates of his. has he said anything to you, that they tell you he was going to do something. all of these things are being done behind the scenes and a lot of law enforcement happens under the radar. we see videos and stuff that come out online and on the news obviously but right now the intel gatherers for a guy like this are very important. there are people scrounging away in cubicles may be halfway across the country that may be the most important people right now.

>> martha: running every piece of data they can on this guy, trying to find a location for him, who does he know and is he a family did he work anywhere. all of this to try to find him but in the meantime this event is moving forward. paul hang with us if you could i will bring in a retired secret service special agent charge joining us now by phone and he supervise the presidential protection division for george w. bush and barack obama for a combined total of nine years. is one of those knowledgeable people there is out there for this sort of situation. it's great to have you back on the program at think you for joining us as we cover the breaking news this afternoon. your take on what we learn so far here and this event has moved forward live on the left-hand side of your screen frank. >> i appreciate that. first thing i would say it's very important to get the interior perimeter. we have to get this but until it's done right now it's

important we have an inner perimeter that is tight and we know who it is around the president and we will look -- work a little tighter than we normally would. and then you have to look at the middle perimeter, the other types of weapons that could be used. tighten up that area as well and you have to look very careful now and make sure that your screening a little more intense than you normally would and make sure that the president is in good hands and very well supported anything they're doing that right now. >> martha: adding to the inner perimeter means adding more agents who are close in and the median perimeter, howdy think all of that has changed since butler in terms of what's around him? >> the perimeters are all the same. the middle and the outer perimeter and what you're doing now is your tightening it up and in other words you are basically restricting access to people that you absolutely know who they are. they identified him during the advance or they are individuals who we can associate as being

part of the event. it's important right now but your report and of everywhere around you and your situational awareness and let's get this individual identified wherever he said and get him in pocket so we can do as best as we can right now at identifying this person of finding what the reason behind this threat. >> martha: so the reason they are in cochise county is because of the border event and you see a man standing behind the man at the podium that is holding a picture of a young person, hold on one second. this is the sheriff of cochise county and let's stick with this for a moment. >> win it comes to crime. the policies that i failed this country and the policies that have failed our citizens. and the tragedies that my neighbors are addressing silently because nobody is listening. over the last 31 months here in cochise county we see the real impact of a community.

we have booked 3762 people in my county jail for border related crimes. these are not immigration related issues, they are border related crimes at double-digit murders. cost the county $12.5 million. i get zero dollars from the federal government on that. when president trump took office six years ago you probably didn't hear much about fentanyl. president trump last year in office in 2020 there were 2 million pills seized in arizona. last year there were 100 million fentanyl pills seized in arizona. he wonder where the epidemic is coming from? it's our cartels who have been allowed to commit these crimes. and i will say this, thanks to 51 percent of congress we have cut our dea budget in this country, we have less dea agents in arizona them we ever have before and we lead the nation in fentanyl. i will say this, here's the

community touch, our neighbors. these mountains right behind me here we had a border agent attack during the morning bite to migrants that came across the border legally trying to cut his throat. much later we had a deputy at 100 miles an hour who met mr trump, president trump this morning. almost killed. we called because we thought he was leaving us. the impact we saw on that. the river behind you, we had the cartels try to kidnap my deputies in my border team to torture them. we have the court tell come across the border early mornings to kidnap and kill one of my deputies because they were allowed to think that way. they were allowed to think that way. my deputies, troopers, agents and officers in this county have endured more harm by the hands of the cartels and no one is addressing them except for local law enforcement and their agents under troopers. i will say this is a closeout, america sheriffs have showed

strong on the voice to secure our borders. we have tried everything to meet with president biden and vice president harris, the borders are. they are the first, this is the first president and ministration of modern-day that has not met with one american sheriff to address border. and he wonder why we don't have engagement and that's why we are stuck in this country. when president trump was president, i was at the white house more you can think of. he was always there for us. i can assure you mr president, this community and our law enforcement will uphold. to us hope is confidence, hope his commitment, hope his courage and your visit today renews our hope here. thank you mr president for being here. going to win. we will get you out. it was a coup of an american president and it was done with anger and he is more angry than anybody. again i am no fan of his. i think he was perhaps the worst president, he was the worst president. largely because of what happened at the border. in my opinion and in the opinion of the gentleman behind me who knows this better than anybody, much better than 20 million people into the country. many from prisons and jails. many from mental institutions, insane asylum's. and many terrorists. win i left this was a very famous because this chart probably saved my life. this chart showing the arrow on the bottom, showing that this was the lowest, this is the last weekend in office because of a heart -- horrible election where

i got many millions of votes more than the first time but i just was a little bit short. have to clean of the borders in the elections and we won't have a country but that's my last week that's lowest point of the general and we're talking. that's the lowest point in the recorded history of the border. this was done by border patrol, this wasn't done by trump. this was done by border patrol working with ice and law enforcement. and that's what we are going to do again. if you take a look interestingly at all of the wall that is laying on its side, that could've been put up and a matter of weeks and was all set to go. it was all cut out and if you look at the top of the mountain behind us, it was all shaped and already to go and could have been put up in a few weeks. much of it has been sold for five cents on the dollar. very expensive. i work with border patrol very quickly and with all of the

people and i wanted to design some thing that worked and we actually had mountain climbers. we've been a drug climbers, they could get over a wall that is so incredible with 75 pounds of drugs on their back, they could climb up things and we designed this after looking at a lot of different designs and that's an anti- climb panel that makes it very tough for someone. a little expensive version but this is an important paddle on tap and it's called anti- climb and this was put in here just a shade us because there's a lot of rough people on that side so i figure you give the media you want to be shaded and this was taken off and this was just temporary, to shade us from potential hazard. we know about hazards. but all of this wall was built at great expense and all of that had to be erected and stood up

on the end and coming down 6 feet but also went down and shielded from tunnels because practical for them to go down. we went down pretty deep and we went a lot deeper than the wall and made it very tough. we made a stop for people but win they refused, i built hundreds of miles of this as far as the eye can see. you look at the other direction, as far as the eye can see and i here people say he didn't build the wall, we built the wall. we built much more than i was anticipated to build and we are going to build an extra 200 miles, much of it is that which is much more than i said i would do because as we built it it would go around the edges so that we would go further and further out and we had them largely because of the wall and also because of the mexican military that helped us, which they never helped at any time

they never helped. we were very proud of it and we went from the best numbers in recorded history to the worst numbers in recorded history or any other history. we have a marxist that's running and i don't think you could let her, this country is not ready for a marxist president. she would never build the wall, she doesn't want to build the wall. she's only saying if she changes her mind it's only because she wants to get elected because who wouldn't want to have a strong border? you need strong borders and strong elections and we have neither. but we are going to have very strong borders and we will very strong elections soon. that people have sped up, it's common sense, that people are just fed up. and you saw it, everybody coming from the airport saw the thousands and thousands of people lined up. it looked like lindberg coming in from what he did at the time.

broadway, it was amazing. when you see all those people it was a long drive from the airport and so many of thousands and thousands of people, never saw anything like that. we were in the middle of an area that was not well populated and to have thousands of people like that is pretty unbelievable. i hope you got to see it and i hope the press rates are fairly because it's a story of disgrace we have the borders, the border saarc. she love the title but didn't do the work because she's lazy and wanted to have an open border. and you say who would want an open border were criminals can pour into our country? and all you have to do is if you have the courage to do it and go into the open section, stand there for little while you'll be running back here very quickly. you really have to write this fairly, this story. the people don't want to talk about the border, don't want to talk about the bad things going on in our country. we will end up not having a

country and you won't have any media, they want to have media. they do their own media, they don't need media. really should cover this story fairly before i begin i have some think very good words on the border and what to do and how to solve the problem. we solve the problem and all they had to do was leave it. but before i begin i want to address the fake job numbers on top of everything else. fake jobs. the fake job numbers that the harris biden administration has been reporting for the last year. thanks to a leaker yesterday, meaning probably in this case a patriot, they were forced to release numbers they claimed falsely that they created 818,000 jobs. they said they did almost a million jobs, 818,000 jobs that actually didn't exist.

they were phantom jobs, they were called phantom jobs. the reason they did that, i was surprised that job numbers look better because i know the economy is lousy, everyone here knows it. these people behind me know it's lousy. we have the worst inflation i believe in the history of our country. and that is absolutely killing people. but it's 818,000 jobs, almost a million and these are the jobs we found out about. there's a lot of other false things that are being looked at. that number will increase. so they reported false members, this isn't a revision there's been nothing like this. this is a fraud put out by harris and by biden. and they were going to release the real numbers called the revision after the election. but it got found out before the election. and i hope you're going to write about it but it's it story and

it's a story that will be going very far, people are very upset about it including government officials that are very upset about it. even people that the democrats are upset because it's fraud. when you've revision were jobs one way or another and they get it straight at the end of the month that -- but this one was sheltered for a very long time and they wanted to release it after november 5th. i wonder why. even then it mattered. i hope you get a reported, almost a million jobs were phantom jobs. they were fake jobs just like a lot of reporting is fake. i hope you will reported because people have to here at. they didn't want the numbers to come out and they did come out. the whistleblower or whoever it was that got them to have to do it, somebody today, high officials said we don't really believe those numbers because trump gave them.

i didn't give them, i got them from the administration. from the labor bureau. these were the stats that were just let out officially. and win they just came out they were released, those are official numbers and has nothing to do with them. i would just happen to play the role of reporter for a change. but i hope you will do something with it because it is a serious thing and it says same as everything else. and i am so glad that we decided to do this. it's a little dangerous to do it, i hate to tell you. you guys are in danger with the kind of weaponry that we have but i felt it was important. and this kind of stuff they do to shield us i will make you feel not so good. it doesn't mean a thing compared to what comes through there but at least they can't see you and it's dangerous territory. these people have unbelievable courage. the border patrol, ice, the

police, local law enforcement unbelievable. they talk about i was courageous, these people are courageous and they go through this every day. and the amount of horrible injuries sustained in fights and shootings are just incredible. not reported but incredible and they were here at the southern border in arizona where comrade kamala harris. i call her kamala because she is a radical left marxist. she wants open borders, i don't understand why anybody would want it but she wants our country to be open to the world criminals so that they can come in and rape and pillage and do whatever they have to do. but she is the most radical left person that has ever run for high political office in our country's history. and by the way, the governor who has done a poor job as governor of minnesota, walz.

he has done a very poor job. is numbers are horrible, people are fleeing the state and i love his state. we should have won his state twice but a lot of hanky-panky goes on there. hasn't been one since 1972, richard nixon was the last one to win it but every time i go in there we have massive crowds and everything is good but nobody seems to be able to win it so i know why we didn't win it, people don't like to talk about it. but he is a horrible governor, has bad job numbers and bad numbers for leaving people in the state and he's insisted he put a bill, i'm sure the share was would be very happy when they hear this. he signed a bill fairly recently where boys bathrooms have to have tampons. tampons and boys bathrooms. he's a radical left guy who lied like hell and she will lie tonight. we are doing review on the truth

because she will lie just like the rest of them lie. what i said about soldiers, they made this story up. it was fiction. we had 26 people countering it but nobody cares. they made up everything so many different stories they made up about project 25 they been told. officially legally in every way that we've nothing to do with project 25. they know it but they bring it up anyway. they bring up every single thing that you can bring up and everyone of them was false. he brought them up but they unleashed a deadly plague of migrant crime by not doing their job and all of that plank and all of that very expensive wall also has tremendous electronic capability inside and it's got wires for cameras and everything else you can have. it's the rolls-royce of walls i can tell you.

it is very hard and steal outside, 7000-pound concrete inside and rebar inside of the concrete, all different and all hard to get through. it is sad to see it sitting here. we have crime going up the road in this direction as far as you can see. they come in and they refused to put it up and that's where i first realized that they want open borders. i thought nobody could be so foolish or stupid to want open borders and have the world population, the world's communal population pour into our country. that's what's happening. but it shattered so many families lives and stolen so many incredible young lives and it's also badly hurt our black population and hispanic population because these people are taking their jobs. the jobs now are way down for the black population in the

hispanic population because we have millions of illegal aliens that have poured into our country and have taken the jobs of african-americans and hispanics. that was obvious to me. next will be unions. the unions will start going because those jobs are going to be taken to. we are honored to really be here with these incredible people and in particular with some grieving families and this was a group of people that i've gotten to know that her incredible people. they have lost a loved one and thousands and thousands of others are out there and they are grieving also. but they are not out with you and sitting in this hot son. i will say this, it gives us a good region -- reason with doing something for those incredible people that will be talking about very shortly.
